Description Koikuchi Shoyu soy sauce with garlic

This soy sauce is a Koikuchi-type dark soy sauce with garlic from the province of Aomori. The garlic is pickled in the soy sauce for 2 months. It is not cut or crushed, but inserted as a whole. This gives the soy sauce a mild garlic taste and smell. 


What is soy sauce with garlic used for?

This soy sauce shouldn't be used for cooking, but can be used as a finishing sauce. It combines well with savoury dishes such as:

  • fried rice
  • fried poultry
  • roasted pork or beef



The manufacturer was founded in 1905 and produces in the Japanese prefecture of Okayama.
