Kikkoman Soy Sauces have a long tradition, dating back to the 17th century. As early as the 18th century, predecessors of the current Kikkoman soy sauces were exported to Europe.
Today, Kikkoman soy sauces are the classic among soy sauces and one of the best-selling soy sauces in the world.
In this case, the Tamari sauce is a dark soy sauce brewed only from soybeans (thus without wheat). It is gluten-free and has a strong flavor. Tamari sauces have a very high umami content due to the exclusive use of soybeans.
