Description Bamboo spice container
In Japan, this retro-style spice jar is used for shichimi togarashi, or ground sansho pepper. To add variety to the look, the bamboo body has been carbonized to give it a hardwood look.
The spice container has two openings, a slightly larger one at the top and a narrower one at the bottom. The spice is put in through the larger square at the top and the desired amount of spice is sprinkled over the food through the small round hole at the bottom.
- Material Body: Carbonized Bamboo, Stopper: Bamboo
- Dimensions: approx. 3.2 x 3.2 cm, height approx. 11.2 cm
About the manufacturer
The Japanese manufacturer was founded 2 generations ago in 1937. The grandfather of the family initially focused sales on Japanese knives. He achieved his breakthrough with a specially developed pot for making the Japanese dish oden. Today the company is one of the top suppliers of kitchen utensils. The main clientele are Japanese restaurants.
We recommend washing the bamboo spice container by hand and not putting it in the dishwasher.
